few weeks ago my sister (who lives in Southampton) had a visit in Handcross.
we had a busy weekend with her: first in Friday we traveled to Brighton and Lewis and then on Saturday we had a visit in London. the pictures in this post are from Lewes, wonderful old little town with cake & tea shops and antique markets.
the days was foggy and little bit rainy too, but we did not mind.
when i go to new places, i love to walk in places which are away from the central of towns and villages, to have a little adventure.
first prunus trees in bloom. they are true beauties of the spring.
this place must have been an farm in old days...
i can imagine the sheep's and cattle eating the grass.
lovely old houses, i would not mind at all to live here for awhile!
my sister is under the umbrella.
Beatrix Potter fiqurines in the antique shop,
i wish someday i have an collection of these.
on a cloudy day color like this looks very beautiful!
i wonder what is behind this door, an secret garden perhaps...
view from the hillside
doesn't lane like this invite to see what you could find when you walk further?
loveliest little chocolate shop!
i bought violet and rose creams, and geranium creams as well. violet and geranium are one of my favorite chocolates.
i hope you will have a lovely weekend!
Oh my!! These pictures are just stunning- I love every one of them! Such a perfect place on this rainy cloudy day--- I'd be in heaven!

ReplyDeleteI've always wanted to live in England and seeing your pictures makes me want to even more! Hopefully someday :)
ReplyDeleteLucky you! ^^ England looks horribly cozy!
ReplyDeleteWow, it looks like pictures from a storybook. I would love to wander there with my sketchbook. I'm so jealous that you get to do this!
ReplyDeleteLoved seeing these photos of Lewes in the rain - sounded like a nice weekend with your sister - wish you had a photo of the two of you together - next time hopefully!
ReplyDeleteHope all is going well Delila - think of you often. Know the Winter weather has been bad but hopefully Spring is going to be beautiful and you can get out in the sunshine to play and work in Nymans gardens.
Love Mary & Bob
