woodland faery bracelets

If any of you are visiting the Faerieworlds festival in Oregon, USA this year you are able to find my jewelries there with lovely Julia Jeffrey's beautiful art. I was excited about this opportunity when Julia wrote to me few months ago. I need to finish during next month about 60 jewelry pieces.

Lately i have made many custom order deer necklaces, seems that so many like
them. i am always happy to make custom jewelries, somehow it makes me very glad if someone asks me to create a piece of jewelry.

spring day in Porvoo

i had a lovely visit in Porvoo on last Friday. I met one of my dearest friends there. We decided to take a walk in parts of the old town we have not seen before. There is so much to see in this town, places still which i want to see... this place is an inspiration and place for dreaming. i took glimpses in other people gardens, peeking through the gates. there is about 32 photographs in this post, i wanted to take them especially for you who liked to see my other photos, which i took on my trips to Porvoo before.

this is an restaurant, where you can order snails...
not my cup of tea, but the building is beautiful.

i took this photo for an inspiration for a simple potting table and the wooden ladders are very lovely also,
i could imagine hanging on it pots of herbs and violets with a wire.

now that i look at this photo the stones with moss between them looks inspiring also, something
for the garden perhaps.

this is one of the places i have visited every time in Porvoo,
a lovely shop filled with tea and special treats.

i do looove this house!!! a place of dreams...

garden tour in London

Perhaps this door would have lead in to a secret garden...
we walked in a alley which lead to us in a Holland Park and Kyoto garden, which can be found from London. In the other side of the lane was a small patch of wild woodland, which looked so tempting.

Holland Park

The Holland Park was filled with utterly beautiful Hellebore's flowers which i do love so much and they are quite rare here in Finland and hard to purchase from nurseries.
I took some fresh seeds and wish that i will get little seedlings of them. the hellebore seeds which i sowed in early of this year are not yet showed any signs of green leaves. but it can take a very long time before Hellebore seeds have germinated. i am lucky if i will get at least one seedling in autumn.

Asian Acer's and woodland flowers growing together.  Can someone tell me which is the name of the greenish yellow wild flower which you can see at the back? it looks bit like a lady's mantle, but i think it is not that. I saw the same flower at the Kew gardens as well.

p.s. i found out that the yellow wildflower is a Smyrnium perfoliatum. This flower looks quite similar than the wild lady's mantle which grows here. i think the lady's mantle is such a beautiful flower that i try to save it when i am taking other weeds out of the flowerbeds.

wild meadow full of beautiful wild flowers.
places like this are truly magical!

This photos are an inspiration for me when i am gardening in my parents large garden.
woodland gardens are the dearest gardens of mine.

I do like these simple looking gates, which could be found in many gardens where i visited in.

Kyoto garden.

Such a serene place this would be to wander alone or with someone else, but when there is fifteen people trying to walk in little paths and trying to capture photos it was not that serene. but the trees looks breathtaking, especially the bright green acer!!

this would be a perfect place to sip a cup of Japane tea.

Kensington

we walked past the fancy houses of Kensington.
I wish i could have had the time to find the house where Beatrix Potter lived in Kensington,
maybe someday...

Kensington palace, where queen Victoria lived. My favorite queen, who loved violets and collected them.
In several days i saw advertisement about a Queen Victoria exhibition, but did not know where it would be held. well afterwards i found that it was held in this Kensington palace.

Fritillaries, flowers i try to grow from the seeds.

sweet spring primroses, which i am trying to grow also.

Queen Victoria statue outside of the palace.
